The Giver is a story about a boy that gets chosen to receive memory from an elder in the community named the Giver.  The boy in this book goes through many problems to get to the powerful stage he is in. The boy’s adventure is dangerous and can be scary at times. At the end this boy will have more power than he knows and his journey will be long and difficult.  Do you think that any one could live in such a way as the community in this story?

I would recommend this book to people who like mysteries or adventures. This book could be for 6^th to 8^th grade readers with a higher reading level.
